Health and Social Care Double Award

Students will study Unit 1 Health Social Care and Early Years Provision.
About Unit 1
Students will learn:

the range of care needs of the major client groups
the types of services that exist to meet client group needs and how they are organised
the ways people can obtain care services and the barriers that can prevent people from gaining access to services
the main work roles and skills of people who provide health, social care and early years services
the values that underpin all care work with clients
understand how services are developed in response to social policy goals and to meet the needs of individuals

Unit 2 Promoting Health and Well-being
About Unit 2:
Students will learn:

definitions of health and well-being
common factors that affect health and well-being and the different effects they can have on individuals and groups across the lifespan
methods used to measure an individual's physical health
ways of promoting and supporting health improvement for an individual or small group
 
Unit 3 Final examination Understanding personal development and relationships:

About unit 3:
Students will learn:
the stages and patterns of human growth and development
the different factors that affect human growth and development
the development of self concept and personal relationships
major life changes and how people deal with them
the role of relationships an personal development
