- Phoenix
Centre
Built in 2006, the Phoenix Centre is our
newest building and now houses our
Engineering Department. The building has two
functional teaching rooms each with its own
purpose, the building is fully air
conditioned and allows full access to
disabled persons.
- Room one
contains engineering equipment such as a
Lathe, Laser Cutting/Engraving Machines,
Engraving Machines, Blow Moulding Machine
plus three state of the art computer systems
to control the machinery and allow for
advanced CAD/CAM work.
- Room two
contains 20 computers creating an ICT suite
for use both within engineering and for ICT
subjects. This room also contains systems
and control equipment such as 12v power and
compressed air lines.
- ICT
Brumby currently has 320 desktops and
laptops available for students use. We have
six ICT suites, four laptop banks with the
rest of the computers spread throughout the
school for use in every subject.
- To assist
with teaching and learning we have 26
interactive smart boards that are used daily
to enhance our students learning experience.
In some lessons students interact with the
smart board themselves to complete tasks.
- Sports
Within brumby we have a sports hall,
gym, basketball court, tennis courts, rugby
pitches, football pitches, 400m athletics
track and much more to enable students to
gain knowledge and skills in a wide range of
sports and activities.
- Dance
Studio
Built in 2003 our purpose built dance
studio enabled further development of our
expressive performing arts department. The
studio features a sprung floor, smart board,
mirrored walls, light and sound system and
changing rooms.
- Library
Although we live in a technology age we
feel it is important to retain a well
stocked library and actively encourage
students to read and use the library for
research. The library opens most break and
lunch times as well as after school. The
facility is also used during lessons by the
English department.
- Pegasus
To enable us to give every student the
best possible education our Pegasus centre
caters for students with special educational
needs, both behavioural and learning
difficulties.
