They learn to use current technologies and consider the impact of future technological developments. They learn to think creatively, solving problems as individuals and members of a team. In year 7, 8, and 9 students will rotate around materials areas on a termly basis. In addition to the materials areas below students will use a range of design software including 2D Design and ProDesktop linking to laser cutting, sublimation printing and 3D Printing techniques. Year 9 Food Technology Design and make a new scone product Design and make a pie Design and make a new biscuit product Focusing on- Product development and industrial processes and carbohydrates Resistant Materials Design and make an automata Design and make a jewellery box Textiles Design and Make a cushion, focusing on decorative techniques, appliqué, sublimation printing and embroidery.
